Our Curriculum
In the lower school, we focus on developing foundational skills. This includes language and maths skills, age-appropriate social and emotional skills; and physical /sensory-motor development.
Foundational skills are important to create a strong base to develop content knowledge for students to equip them with the necessary skills to cope in higher grades.
In middle school, we adopt a more balanced approach. Students continue to work on foundational skills along with their academic content. At this stage, students may be taught to make use of adaptive skills to access the content, even if they struggle with foundational skills. Accommodations are provided to help students learn and apply their skills in everyday situations.
In high school, the focus shifts to supporting the transition of students in the next phase of their journey from Shridha School to the outside world. A vision is developed collaboratively with parents and efforts are made to support students with all the skills required to succeed in their journey ahead and in life.

Shridha is an inclusive school located in the heart of Indore. Our aim is to provide holistic development to students with learning difficulties. We follow internationally acclaimed research based programs adapted in the Indian context.
Therapies and academics go hand in hand with each other to facilitate overall development of the child.
At Shridha our curriculum is defined for students ages 7 through 19 years and designed to create the capacity within our students to be skilled, strategic, independent learners.
At its core lie instruction in language and literacy. Language, reading, and writing are essential for learning in life and for all learning in school. Facility in the use of language whether listening, speaking, reading, or writing to understand, communicate, and develop higher-level thinking skills is prioritized across the grades. Language competency, the acquisition of literacy skills, and the development of cognitive strategies are the foundation of Shridha’s curriculum.
Curriculum weaves together instruction in skills, strategies, and content. The curriculum is sequential. Over the years, the skills become more complex and are combined into strategies. Information and concepts become increasingly abstract. It is integrated across subjects.
